Denim Expert Ltd Bets on Vintage and Destroyed Denim

Denim Expert Ltd. isn’t shying away from statement-making denim. The Bangladesh-based garment and washing company presented its Spring/Summer ’18 collection at Bluezone in Munich this week, paying special attention to splatter, slogans and secret embellishments.

Spurred by the demand for rip and repair, the textile company is enhancing its base of comfort stretch fabrications for men and women by pairing destroying techniques with paint splatter, contrasting patches and stitching.

In general, the collection maintains denim’s authentic character. Slubs are subtle; colors stay in the ocean blue family. Denim with a green cast and vintage tinting diversify the line.

Denim Expert sees interest in slogans, handwriting and drawings pick up in women’s. The company shows these motifs through designs that incorporate traditional floral drawings and music lyrics.

Men’s trends are more subdued, like contrasting tuxedo stripe down the side of the leg. The company says hidden details that just the wearer knows about, like waistbands lined with plaid or no-stitch labels, delivers added value to jeans.
