Exposed pockets, paint splatter and millennial pink washes are just some of the pretty little things American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) has in store for Summer ’17.
The teen retailer presented its summer collection in New York City last week, a mix of Palm Beach bohemian and festival fanatic.
Denim shorts were a key item in the brand’s women’s collection, acting as a blank canvas for fun treatments like silver dusting, floral appliqués, frayed hems and bold zipper pocket trims.
The brand paid special attention to pockets that peeked out from ultra-short shorts. Pockets were trimmed with chunky lace, decorated with chainstitch designs, or made with terry-like textures.
AEO tapped into the DIY trend with rips, paint splatter and scribbles.
