American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. is promoting brand leaders. Chief merchandising officers Chad Kessler and Jennifer Foyle will take the positions of global brand presidents for American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie brands, respectively.
Kessler and Foyle will assume responsibility for all brand design and merchandizing functions, and their teams will be realigned under them. They will continue to report to executive creative director, Roger Markfield.
Kessler joined American Eagle in February 2014. Previously, he worked at Abercrombie and Fitch for 15 years. Jennifer Foyle joined the company to work at Aerie in 2010, previously holding leadership roles at the Gap and J. Crew.
“Chad has been instrumental to our business improvement, driving stronger AE merchandise assortments, rooted in outstanding quality, innovation and affordability,” Markfield said. “Over the past few years, Jennifer has assembled an extraordinary team and has led Aerie’s transformation to a youthful, real intimates brand for a new generation of customers.”
