For Fall ’16, American Eagle Outfitters is including new variety in the brand’s stretch product for both men and women, as well as introducing a premium product for men.
The women’s Denim X collection includes new low and high-rise fits for jeggings. The low-rise sits about one inch lower than the traditional legging, and the high-rise has a contoured waistband with three buttons.
For men, the new Flex fits are the slim taper, slim boot and slim crop. These fits are available in a variety of washes that range from indigo and black to destroyed rip-and-repair.
Chad Kessler, American Eagle global brand president, said, “Our girl wants a great fit in a fabrication that is super comfortable, won’t stretch out during the day, and makes her feel amazing.”
The brand is also premiering a selvedge jean for men, which Kessler said was sourced for its yarn quality and ability to take beautiful washes. The selvedge will retail for $80 and be offered in 25 premier U.S. stores, in all international stores and online. “Typically Selvage denim is offered at high price points, so we are excited to offer this to our customer at a great value,” said Kessler.
