American Eagle’s Fall ’19 Campaign Stars Lil Wayne and New Jeans Fits

American Eagle is kicking off the back-to-school season with new fits and celebrity-approved style.

The teen specialty retailer is teaming with Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum-selling hip-hop artist Lil Wayne for an exclusive AE x Young Money collection. The brand introduced the partnership as part of its Fall ’19 campaign, which merges jeans, streetwear, youth culture and music.

Young Money Entertainment is the moniker of Lil Wayne’s record label, which currently counts Drake and Nicki Minaj among its artists.

The 25-piece men’s AE x Young Money collection features Young Money graphics throughout and spans jeans, hoodies, T-shirts, shorts, boxers, socks, hats and more. The collection will officially drop in-store and online on Aug. 10, 2019 and will retail for $8-$100.

Lil Wayne also stars in American Eagle’s Fall ’19 Homecoming dance-themed campaign.

“Our collaboration with Lil Wayne and the AE x Young Money collection has brought together a diverse cast of creatives who are expressing themselves through music, dance, skateboarding and live performances, while highlighting the true comfort and flexibility of AE jeans,” said Chad Kessler, American Eagle global brand president.

This season, American Eagle will also lead with an innovative assortment of jeans and new fits including the women’s Curvy jean collection. Offered in 12 new washes, the Curvy offers a little more space through the thigh and hip. The new hip-to-waist ratio is designed to eliminate the dreaded waistband gap.

For men, American Eagle is rolling out AirFlex technology, which utilizes air in the yarn spinning to make the fabric softer, and also launched the Stacked jean, a silhouette with a longer inseam that stacks at the ankle.

The new jeans are in addition to American Eagle’s newly expanded in-store size offering for men and women.
