Archroma Promotes Traceable Dyestuff

Archroma promoted a consumer-facing marketing concept at Denim Première Vision to supports its range of ecological, fully-traceable dyestuff, Earthcolors.

The chemical company is encouraging brands to communicate their sustainable and traceable stories to prospective buyers through near field communication (NFC) chips. Brands can add NFC technology to hangtags for consumer to scan using their smartphones to learn more about the unique dye process and ultimately be more involved in the process.

Earthcolors is Archroma’s patented method of creating warm ternary shades from nature.
The range of high performance dyes are synthesized from leaves and the non-edible shells of nuts. All of the dyes are traceable with NFC technology.

At Denim Première Vision, Archroma showcased its latest Earthcolors collection focusing on black, gray and brown washed eco-conscious jeans, as well as a collaboration with garment specialist Tonello, showing T-shirts nitrogen dyed with laser finishing using the eco-friendly dyestuffs.
