Best known for its durable work boots, Ariat continues to grow by introducing new product categories. This time, it’s expanding upon its women’s workwear offerings with Rebar, a new denim-focused collection built to withstand tough conditions and frequent wear.
Rebar was created specifically with a women’s form in mind, setting itself apart from workwear brands that often adapt women’s styles from men’s.
The collection offers mid-rise bootcut jeans like the Raven, a dark wash, and the Riveter, a medium wash with light distressing. Details like a triple-stitched seams, a utility pocket and a knife pocket add function, while flattering, no-rub interior seams provide comfort.
Though qualities like durability and strength have taken on a greater importance to environmentally conscious consumers and to those who are on a tighter budget as a result of the pandemic, Ariat points out they are traits that are always essential in workwear.
The performance denim in Rebar was carefully constructed to meet the durability standards of industrial site workwear while maintaining the comfort and fit of everyday jeans. The jeans were tested and approved by women workers around the country, from “those at the helm of lobster boats in Maine, to Midwest agricultural hands and auto mechanics.”
Jeans in the collection are made with 10 oz. DuraStretch ring-spun denim, a fabric that is twice as durable as 100 percent cotton, Ariat stated. Water repellency and stain-resistant technology enhance the wearer’s experience with the abrasion-resistant fabric. Additionally, elasticity is reinforced in certain areas for added movement and durability.
Jeans retail for $59.95-$64.95. The women’s Rebar collection includes an insulated jacket, tops, vests, zip-up hoodies, work boots and beanies. The collection is now available on the Ariat website and at participating retailers, including farm, ranch and outdoor stores.
