Artistic Fabric Mills to Exhibit Rare Denim Books at Kingpins NYC

Artistic Fabric Mills (AFM) and the Loomchatter Group will present a comprehensive collection of books dedicated to the history of denim, indigo and textiles at Kingpins NYC on Jan. 20-21. AFM’s product development team has edited the selection specifically for the show’s guests.

The library will consists of works spanning the antiquarian swatch catalogs to modern denim fashion coffee table books with a healthy representation of indigo dyestuff and mill history. Designers and product developers can use the library as starting points for new trend directions or to add dimensions to existing concepts.

Hasan Javed, Artistic Fabric Mills director, said, “We always strive to inspire the designers we work with. From the beginning every collection we show is imbued with our passion for denim.” He added, “When we heard there was a library of denim and indigo literature as broad and deep as the Loomchatter Group’s we knew we had to find a way to bring it to the denim community.”

A dedicated librarian will be on staff to assist visitors with the collection. Depending on demand, viewings may be limited to 30-minute sessions.
