
Pakistani mill Artistic Milliners announced the hire of denim industry veteran Neil Bell as head of research and development. Bell will oversee the mill’s innovation team and work to grow and develop its sustainability work.
Bell is a 25-year veteran of the industry who began stone washing jeans in a Wrangler factory in the U.K. He later graduated from Bolton University with a degree in textiles and worked for 15 years at Levi Strauss and Co. on fabric and fiber innovation and sustainability.
Omer Ahmed, executive director of Artistic Milliners, said, “With his vast knowledge and experience in denim, we believe he will enable Artistic Milliners to become a market leader in denim fiber and fabric innovation.”
