Bangladesh Denim Expo Launches Seminar Series with Amy Leverton

Bangladesh Denim Expo is hoping to teach the industry what they know, and they’ve brought Amy Leverton on to help out.

The trade show announced Tuesday the launch of a new education platform aimed at increasing communication and reducing the knowledge gap between production and clients. In the form of ‘masterclasses,’ the Denim Academy will offer learning seminars, starting with their first on Dec. 8 in Dhaka.

For the first masterclass, Leverton will lead a trend seminar outlining the upcoming denim trends for Autumn/Winter 17/18. The expo says it expects 200 participants at their very first seminar, and they have opened the event to all local denim human resources.

“One of the objectives of Bangladesh Denim Expo is to nurture local talents and educate them. The plan of organizing these workshops and seminars is derived from the urge to fulfill the objective,” said Mostafiz Uddin, CEO and founder of Bangladesh Denim Expo.
