Berto Collaborates with Italian Brand Studiopretzel

Berto Industria Tessile has announced an ongoing collaboration for 2016 with Florentine brand Studiopretzel, designed by Emiliano Laszlo. The decision comes as a result of Berto’s ambition to help people committed to developing sustainable and creative apparel collections.

Studiopretzel began its relationship with Berto through the mill’s #Berto4YoungTalents project in 2015, which was designed to support emerging fashion personalities. Together, the two companies also won the Best Fabric Award at the Global Denim Awards in Amsterdam in 2015.

The brand will have the opportunity to draw on the company’s collections and historical archives that contain 130 years of textile experience. In addition, the mill will support Studiopretzel in logistics, production and marketing. Berto and Studiopretzel will hold a series of ad hoc events during the upcoming year to emphasize craftsmanship and the tradition of Made in Italy.

Arianna Morimando, marketing manager of Berto Industria Tessile, said, “Enthusiasm, dedication and creativity are what we look for in young talents, but Emiliano more than anyone else showed a great capacity of declining the denim in new shapes and dimensions, unknown until now.”
