Alabama-based designer Billy Reid has paired up with celebrity chef John Besh for the release of a collaborative apron.
True to the designer’s aesthetic, the apron is made with 6 oz. orange line selvedge fabric and features copper rivets with reinforced leather patches and a leather tie. The US-made apron, available now, retails for $95 at Billy Reid retail locations and online, and will also be available on Besh’s website and at 12 of his restaurants.
The apron is being launched in conjunction with Besh’s New Orleans-style cookbook “Big Easy Besh”, with a portion of the proceeds from the aprons supporting Besh’s nonprofit, The John Besh Foundation, which provides scholarships to minority youth in New Orleans and supports the city’s local food producers.
