Bread & Butter Lives On as a Guerrilla-Style Trade Show

Embattled Bread & Butter is not down for the count——yet. The Berlin-based trade fair, which cancelled its regular show format scheduled for Jan. 19-21 due to financial woes and a dramatic decrease in exhibitors, is hosting an “unconventional business forum and meeting point” for the apparel industry.

The event is set to take place Jan. 19-21 during Berlin Fashion Week at Bread & Butter headquarters, Münzstrasse 13, as well as at “The Blue Yard”, Münzstrasse 21 in Berlin Mitte.

About 40 brands have signed up on participate in what Bread & Butter founder Karl-Heinz Müller called a “back to the street” style of show.

Müller said, “I am very happy to welcome like-minded people to our home in order to showcase parts of their collections. We are looking forward to have a lot of guests from the industry, trade and press at our venue.”

Participating brands include: BCC Blind Carbon Copy, Campus, Denham, Drake’s London, Drykorn, Dukes Finest Vintage Artisan, Freitag, Gloverall, Hansen, Hevo, House of Grey, Indigo People, Japan Blue, Kings of Indigo, Komono, Mavi, Momotaro, Nigel Cabourn, Nudie Jeans Co., Passionfrance, Setto, Stetson, Ten C, Tricker’s and more.
