Buffalo David Bitton Hits the Road for 50th Anniversary

“Vanlife” influencers are part of Buffalo David Bitton’s new initiative to support national parks and preserve wildlife.

For its 50th anniversary, the Iconix Brand Group-owned denim label launched the “Where Buffalo Roam” campaign to celebrate “the power of freedom and the natural landscape, exploring the boundless migration paths of buffalos and bringing steps we can take to protect them to the forefront.”

The socially driven campaign features four individuals who live and travel in vans and share their nomadic lifestyle on social media. Each influencer will document their journey dressed in Buffalo Denim as they visit areas historically tread by buffalo, including Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and various other areas in Montana. Viewers can follow their adventures on the Buffalo David Bitton brand’s Instagram and TikTok accounts or on the brand’s website.

Products featured in the campaign include both men’s and women’s denim and apparel and a limited edition unisex ‘Where Buffalo Roams’ T-shirt created exclusively for the campaign. The shirt retails for $39 and is available on the brand’s website.

As part of the campaign, Buffalo David Bitton has partnered with The Land Trust Alliance, a national land conservation organization and a leader in land trust policy, standards, education, and training. The partnership includes a donation to support the mission of The Land Trust Alliance.

Campaigns centered on the outdoors are growing in the denim space. In 2021, Madewell teamed with Parks Project, a national parks conservation organization, on a wanderlust collection of sustainable tops and accessories. Lucky Brand also staged its digital content series “Play for the Parks” in Yosemite National Park. Play for the Parks included a $25,000 donation by the denim brand to support efforts to preserve national parks.
