Camille Seydoux Reworks Roger Vivier’s Prismick Collection in Denim

Rihanna and Manolo Blahnik have made designer denim footwear an ‘it’ item for spring, but if your tastes are more bohemian than bling, Maison Roger Vivier’s new patchwork collection may have a place in your closet.

The collection, coined Prismick Denim, was created in collaboration with celebrity stylist Camille Seydoux. The six-piece line includes ’70s-inspired platform sandals, slip-on sneakers, ankle booties, shoulder bags, bucket bags and backpacks.

The bold patchwork design is an ode to Roger Vivier’s futuristic 2012 Prismick collection—but with an urban and relaxed twist.

On the collaboration, Seydoux said, “I began by attentively exploring my own Prismick bag, which is in a melting fade of black and grey. I wanted to work on the idea of facets that make up grades of shading. I looked through the Maison’s archives and then I thought of denim. It’s a fabric that naturally burnishes. Denim is both classic and modern, and significant detail, is very resistant.”

The Prismick Denim collection is available in flagship Roger Vivier stores around the world.
