Capsule will spotlight five emerging menswear designers from the U.S. in a collective called New America.
The platform, set to take place in at Capsule’s Paris, New York and Las Vegas shows this summer, is for brands working with domestic factories and craftspeople and who represent a progressive American aesthetic. Featured brands include 424, Blackfist, Midnight Studios, Rhude and Second/Layer.
The label 424 is the apparel offshoot of FourTwoFour on Fairfax, the Los Angeles-based luxury streetwear boutique, which also stocks Blackfist, a line of music and art-inspired apparel designed by model/actor Bradley Soileau.
Midnight Studios specializes in elevated streetwear with punk elements, while both Rhude and Second/Layer favors simple designs with a streetwear sensibility.
New America will kick off in Paris June 26-28, followed by the men’s show in New York July 20-21 and Las Vegas Aug. 17-19.
