Cone Denim has been named a member of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), a nonprofit organization that promotes global standards for Better Cotton and brings together the elements of the cotton supply chain.

Cone Denim has been a leader in creating sustainable practices in its operations and in the development of new denims. The Cone 3-D R&D incubator develops fabrics based on performance, comfort, uniqueness, and sustainability. Initiatives include incorporating distinctive fiber blends and fabric constructions, and engineering unique process technologies.

Cone’s Sustainblue Collection is made of denims constructed from recycled cotton and polyester and sustainable yarns.

Steve Maggard, vice president operations, planning and product development for Cone Denim said, “Cone Denim promotes sustainability and responsible manufacturing in all of our operations, and we appreciate the opportunity to work with other members of the cotton supply chain to share best practices and work to continuously improve the production and sustainability of cotton, and grow the demand for Better Cotton.”
