Fans of women’s denim brand Current/Elliot can now adorn their homes with more of its all-American-inspired aesthetic.
On Wednesday, designers Emily Current and Meritt Elliott announced Emily & Meritt for Pottery Barn, a Fall 2019 collection of textiles and bedding essentials. The line is a continuation of Current Elliot’s Americana aesthetic and showcases fall color palettes of army green, spice and indigo with pops of marigold and blush. With a mix of star, stripe and dot prints, the styles provide a number of combinations that reflect the brand’s “playful yet chic” spirit.
Current Elliot was founded in July 2008 by the designers who met as students at UCLA. In Spring 2012, they became members of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The women’s denim line, known for modern iterations of classic fits and washes, is sold at retailers like Net-a-Porter, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s.
For six years, the designers have worked with the home goods retailer, first appearing in PB teen in 2013 with a collection of bedding, furniture and more. In 2016, they debuted Emily & Meritt for Pottery Barn Baby & Kids line, and in 2017 they announced an official partnership.
“We’re thrilled to introduce the newest collection in our partnership with Pottery Barn—a range of sheets, duvets, quilts and towels in washed garment-dyed colors and special prints made for layering, mixing, and matching,” Current and Elliot said in a joint statement. “We wanted to capture the look and feel of a well-loved fabric and designed this collection for the person who treasures effortless personal style.”
