Denim and leather improve with age, and now a new handbag collection by Belgium leather goods brand Delvaux brings the two together in a fashionable way.
The luxury brand recently released a trio of its most iconic handbags reinvented in Japanese denim.
“Summery and supremely elegant, this reinterpretation of Delvaux classics combines la maison’s unmistakable craftsmanship with plenty of glamour,” the company stated on its website.
The collection includes the Cool Box, a spacious and boxy satchel; the Brilliant, a top handle bag with two statement pockets and a golden buckle; and the Pin Mini Bucket, a bucket bag embellished with a D-shaped pocket made from denim and rivets.

With more than two centuries of expertise in making luxury leather accessories, Delvaux adds black leather detailing throughout the collection. Yellow stitching mimics the look of stitching found on classic blue jeans.
The collection is available now for pre-order. Retail prices range from $1,900 for the bucket bag to $5,850 for the Brilliant.

Denim handbags are somewhat of a novelty item in designer collections. Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Burberry are among the designer labels currently offering denim handbags.
Meanwhile, the Chanel 2020 Denim Jumbo 19 Flap Bag, which sold at traditional retail for approximately $4,600, fetches even more at resale. The bag sold for $4,700 on The Real Real.
