As the denim trend makes its way through the accessories market, brands including Chanel, Mosevic and Ray-Ban have been adding the textile to their shades. Now, Jason Denham, founder of Denham the Jeanmaker, has his eyes set on sunglasses.
The Amsterdam-based denim brand has linked up with London eyewear label Fan Optics to launched “Denham Eyes,” a Denham and Fan Optics collaboration featuring a unisex frame, The Maker. For the collaboration, the companies culled inspiration from Denham’s own passion for collecting and his obsession with all-things vintage, including denim, rare Jack Purcells and unique sunglasses.
The vintage-inspired shades, hand-crafted in Italy from a polymer made with recycled cotton, features high-grade Zeiss lenses from Germany. The sunglasses are available in small and large and are offered in black, indigo and tortoise. The glasses are available in stores now.
