Denim North America, a division of DNA Textile, has released a new performance product line, FYnesse Denim.

The new fabrication is the mill’s latest innovation in performance stretch with low growth and reduced shrinkage. The mill reports that FYnesse cuts shrinkage virtually in half compared to traditional stretch denims with similar elasticity. The result is greater fabric utilization and increased garment to garment sizing consistency.

FYneese Denim incorporates FYneese yarn, developed by Fiber & Yarn Products, a division of Poole Company. The yarn is made with air-covering technology that takes engineered polyester and introduces spandex at the point of maximum dynamic bulk. The result is a performance stretch yarn that conceals spandex within the yarn. The fabrication also offers the wearer fast drying and moisture wicking benefits.

Denim North America has been focused on innovation. The mill debuted biodegradable performance denim last month at BPD Expo in New York City. FYnesse Denim will be shown this week in Salt Lake City at the Outdoor Retailer Show July 26-29, at the Poole Company’s stand 41037. Opening offerings are in lightweight  black and indigo women’s products with heavier weights for men available soon.
