Designer Joey Rodolfo Leaves Tommy Bahama

Joey Rodolfo is stepping down as senior vice president of men’s design at Tommy Bahama after more than 10 years with the brand. Rodolfo took a large part in transforming the brand from a Hawaiian shirt company into a full line lifestyle collection brand.

Rodolfo joined the company in 2005, and one of his first contributions was the creation of the Relax by Tommy Bahama division. This label attracted a younger customer to the brand and remains a large part of the men’s collection business.

“I am proud of the accomplishments my team and I made in extending the brand,” Rodolfo said. “Together we created an iconic island lifestyle collection that expertly brought casual sportswear to the island.”

In addition to his tenure at Tommy Bahama, Rodolfo launched several of his own successful brands including Bench Company, Cutter & Buck, Resort Two and JR 1879.

Rodolfo declared plans to continue on as an entrepreneur and said he will announce the launch on his new company in the near future.
