Dickies Duets with Halsey’s About-Face Beauty Brand

As it nears its centennial anniversary, heritage workwear brand Dickies is thinking outside the box to connect with the next generation of consumers.

The brand recently partnered with musician Halsey’s beauty brand About-Face for a co-branded collection of two unisex bags, a mini messenger bag and a compact backpack. Made with classic brown waterproof canvas, each bag is embellished with ’90s-style puffy, soft pink lettering featuring the About-Face logo and a Dickies label.

A nostalgic skate-themed campaign accompanies the collaboration.

The Dickies bags launched in tandem with the About-Face Blushing Beige lip range of long-wear, water-resistant colors that are wearable for every day. The new makeup collection features high-pigment natural hues from soft sienna to warm chestnut, milky mauves, peachy beige and rosy terracotta tones that complement the bag color and complexions with a “healthy flush.”

Hasley launched the beauty brand in February with partners Dineh Mohajer and Jeanne Chavez, the founders behind the ’90s beauty brand Hard Candy.

The Grammy award-nominated multi-platinum singer/songwriter is a Dickies’ fan and is often seen wearing the brand’s apparel and using its mini backpack.

“Dickies has always been my go-to,” Halsey said. “I have literally been wearing my Dickies backpack forever and it’s always my favorite over every other bag. Getting the chance to work with the brand on this limited-edition collection for about-face is a dream come true.”

The Dickies x About-Face collection retails for $17-$22 and is available on the Dickies website.
