Workwear and apparel manufacturer Dickies has debuted a new line of workwear for the automotive industry. The Dickies Shop Collection features a wide variety of products for men and women, including shirts, knits, pants, shorts, denim, coveralls and jackets.
The line features a number of new innovations in Dickies workwear, such as pants trimmed with non-scratch buttons, cooling mesh technology built into shirts, lightweight, breathable flex fabrics and moisture-wicking fabric co-developed with Milliken & Company. The technology rapidly dries the material, keeping the wearer both cool and comfortable.
“The Dickies Shop Collection is specialty designed and constructed workwear to meet the unique needs of the automotive worker,” said Brian Sheedy, Williamson-Dickie Co. vice president of merchandising and design. “We initiated and completed several rounds of automotive field wear-testing and research to ensure we built the Shop Collection with true purpose. The final positive research results have been incredibly motivating, further empowering our design team to continuously raise the bar in the design and development of our products.”
