Dickies Life and Obey’s Newest Drop Merges Streetwear and Workwear

Bucket hats and matching sets are the focus of a new workwear-meets-streetwear collaboration from streetwear brand Obey and Dickies Life, the heritage brand’s U.K.-based streetwear arm.

The Dickies Life X Obey collection reimagines Dickie’s core styles with Obey’s signature Icon Face logo printed throughout. Pieces include a work jacket, work shirt and slim straight work pants in khaki and navy, along with coordinating bucket hats that can be mixed and matched. The collection also includes branded heavyweight pocket T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts and hooded sweatshirts.

The unisex styles fall in line with what is currently resonating with consumers: comfort and ease. Each piece seamlessly pairs with the next to form versatile looks.

Dickies Life teased the drop on Instagram alongside a nostalgia-infused video of models wandering through a pre-pandemic city.

Collaborations continue to be the vessel for the heritage company to experiment outside the confines of its archives. Dickies, the company’s U.S.-based workwear brand, recently dropped a timely capsule collection in partnership with New York Sunshine and the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers. Similar to the Obey collaboration, the NBA capsule meets at the intersection of workwear and streetwear and taps into the comfort-first aesthetic of the new fashion consumer. Featuring just five pieces, the collection helped celebrate the return of the NBA.

The retail price range for the Dickies Life X Obey collection is $35-$100. The collection is available now on in the U.K. and on in the U.S.
