Diesel is combining its bold design aesthetic for a second time with Italian motorsports apparel brand Alpinestars.
Targeting motorcycle riders and enthusiasts alike, the denim and protective gear companies recently debuted a men’s and women’s collaboration that centers around premium materials, a rebellious spirit and a fashionable take on protection.
Diesel’s designs have been inspired by the motorcycle community for years. The brand sponsored competitive events in the ’80s and previously partnered with Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati.
The latest capsule features classic biker jackets, sweatshirts, T-shirts and baseball caps, as well as leather pants for men and a mini leather skirt for women.
The collection, which features the Alpinestars logo and Diesel’s 1990s-era tribal tattoo motif, incorporates elements of the motorcycle race track, including contrasting neon blue and orange color blocking and leather patches that nod to sponsor logos often seen on equipment at races.
Part of the collection was produced directly by Alpinestars.
Similar to the campaign for the duo’s initial Fall/Winter 2019 collection, the new one is fronted by key figures in motorcycle racing, including Alex Rins, Taka Nakagami, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Enea Bastianini, Maria Herrera and Ayumu Sasaki.
The collection is available at select Diesel stores and on the Diesel website, with retail prices ranging from $98-$898.
