The new monochromatic collection incorporates essential sportswear pieces, including windbreakers, tanks and T-shirts, with a nod to denim styling. The overall look keys into today’s athletic culture and city lifestyles, combining performance with streetwear.
“Today there’s a need for a modern, active wardrobe, an armor for the city,” said Diesel Artistic Director Nicola Formichetti. “I wanted to take a biker jacket and pants, which are strong elements of the Diesel DNA, and remix them in technical fabrics, with a nod to denim.”
Hints of denim’s influence can be seen in motocross details and a trompe l’oeil indigo denim print. The collection boasts 100 percent windproof and water-repellent outerwear with UV ray protection. Jackets are designed for bikers with ergonomically shaped sleeves for ease of movement and thermal tape for insulation. Four-way stretch T-shirts feature antibacterial finishing for comfort.
Diesel X hits stores in April, and retails for $228-$598.
