Known for its sustainable denim and strong female leadership, DL1961 tapped a leading influencer with similar values for its latest capsule collection.
Lifestyle blogger and influencer Marianna Hewitt collaborated with the brand on #MH x DL1961, a 24-piece capsule that includes an assortment of jeans, jackets, skirts and tops that were designed to be mixed and matched for women on the go. Highlights in the collection include a dusty pink jean jacket and matching flare jeans, an animal print blouse and midi-skirt and jeans with shiny rose-gold hardware.
The #MH x DL1961 collection incorporates the denim brand’s dedication to sustainability and features pieces designed with fibers and technology that reduce the amount of water, energy and chemicals used during production. Additionally, the line promotes body positivity and inclusivity, with sizes ranging from 23-34 and 16W-26W.
The collection will launch exclusively at Nordstrom on Sept. 12, followed by Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Shopbop, select retailers and the DL1961 website at the end of September. Inclusive sizing will be available on the brand’s website and Anthropologie. The line retails between $149-$229.
Hewitt is also known as the founder of Summer Fridays, a skincare line sold at Sephora that, like her DL1961 collection, targets millennial-age women who favor products made with clean ingredients.
“Working with DL1961, a women-run company, is inspiring, and I love how much passion goes into making each piece and knew I wanted to share their quality denim with all of my followers,” said Hewitt. “I have been a fan of the brand for a while now because of their comfortable fits and fabrics. Usually with denim, one of those has to compromise but they really nailed fit, fabric and trend all while being sustainable.”
DL1961 has called on celebrities and influencers in the past, including actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba and model Emily Ratajkowski.
