DL1961 and Emily Ratajkowski Take Over the Plaza Hotel

Model, activist, actress and Allure’s August cover model, Emily Ratajkowski, is the new face of DL1961.

Ratajkowski stars in the premium denim label’s Fall ’17 campaign and will continue to work with the brand through Spring ’18.

“Emily truly is the DL woman in her spirit, her style, her wit and her modern edge,” said Sarah Ahmed, DL1961 creative director. “Not only does she wear our denim incredibly well, but she also cares deeply about the things that matter. Collaborating with her for fall has been so exciting, and we’re already looking forward to next season.”

The fall campaign features images shot in the iconic Plaza Hotel in New York City by photographer Boo George. In the campaign, Ratajkowski soaks in a tub dressed in DL’s black zipper skirt, walks the halls in a denim jumpsuit and lounges in denim button-down shirts. A behind-the-scenes video of the shoot is also available on DL’s website.

“To me, nothing is sexier than a woman wearing a pair of amazing jeans and feeling comfortable and beautiful in her skin, so I’m excited to have this opportunity,” said Ratajkowski. “Working with DL1961, a women-run company, is inspiring, and I love their inclusive and innovative approach to denim. I think women everywhere will want to wear this collection.”

Ratajkowski follows in the footsteps of actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba, who stared in DL’s 2016 campaigns.
