Dr. Martens Debuts Lightweight DM’s Lite Collection

Dr. Martens fans have some of the best calf muscles in town, but that may soon change.

On Friday, Dr. Martens unveiled DM’s Lite, a collection of iconic styles built with a new ultra-lightweight Phylon midsole instead of the brand’s traditional (and heavier) Goodyear welt construction.

Each style boasts memory foam insoles with moisture-wicking technology and lightweight, flexible rubber outsoles for added comfort.

DM’s Lite is the first new concept Dr. Martens introduced since the original ‘AirWair with Bouncing Soles’ technology was engineered as a performance shoe. Through the new collection, Dr. Martens aims to appeal to a broader range of consumers in the streetwear scene.

The men’s and women’s collection includes three styles: the Newton 8-Eye boot, Cavendish 3-Eye shoe and the Edison Tassel loafer in both black or cherry red leather. Shoes retail for $105-$135.
