Activewear has worked its way into the mainstream, making for more than just gym clothes, and now it’s making its way into workwear.

Sporstwear supplier Esmetex launched a line of lightweight casual and dress shirt fabric that cools and wicks moisture thanks to Unifi’s Sorbtek technology and incorporates recycled materials courtesy of Repreve, an eco-friendly performance technology that’s also a Unifi branded product.

Sorbtek lets the shirting fabric act like activewear, wicking moisture to keep the wearer cooler, drier and more comfortable, and it has soil release properties, too. Each shirt made using Repreve will be made up of roughly two recycled plastic bottles.
