Reformation’s highly anticipated denim line is ready to launch Oct. 23. The sustainable fashion brand will introduce the 46-piece collection, Reformation Jeans, online and at all Reformation stores.
In May, the brand teased with a 7-piece denim capsule collection based on vintage-inspired pieces.
As with all Reformation products, sustainable production was a priority. The entire Reformation Jeans line is made with either 100 percent recycled materials, deadstock fabrics or sustainably sourced fibers. The brand used production techniques that eliminate the usual toxic dyes and water waste used to make denim, saving 1,460 gallons of water for each pair.
Reformation Founder Yael Aflalo wrote in a letter that the company will continue to work on improving its denim production process. “My biggest dream is to bring sustainable fashion to everyone. This year, we decided to tackle the worst polluting type of clothing that we all buy all the time – denim. We also wanted to create more affordable prices to reach more people. So we mashed it together and voila—Reformation Jeans,” he wrote.
The collection retails for $28 to $148. New products will be released weekly. The first collection includes 11 denim styles in 14 washes, 10 tops and 4 dresses. Highlights include the Camille High Cigarette jean, the Hepburn High Skinny jean and wide cut Fawcett jean.
To completely neutralize the company’s footprint, the brand purchases water restoration credits via Bonneville Environmental Foundation, which will donate 1,000 gallons of credits to the National Forest Foundation’s clean water projects for every pair of Reformation Jeans sold.
