Closed, a denim brand handmade in Italy, brings back its original founder, Francois Girbaud, for a special collaboration set to hit stores March 2018.
The streetwear, cycle-focused line hit the runway during Paris Fashion Week, touting modern utilitarian silhouettes for both men and women, with a special focus on the brand’s signature “X” construction. Closed also highlighted its new ‘handlebar yoke,’ signifying a new visual identity that taps into the importance of cycling in the city.
The collection brings new emphasis to streetwear, focusing on the difficulties posed by urban environments and cycling around the city. Garments feature reflective materials and prints that take on a new look at night, adding a safety element to the line. Fashion meets function with cutting-edge fabrications and vertical stretch allowing for easier movement.
Pockets get revamped for the season through new, over-sized positions allowing for the new, modern sizing of phones and gadgets.
The collection is currently being sold out of the brand’s Paris showrooms while the brand is taking international orders. Retail prices for the collection start at around $200.
