In the spirit of the holiday season, G-Star Raw is introducing a new level of sophistication with plush fabrics, leather-like coatings and chic city silhouettes.
The G-Star Raw Holiday ’18 collection serves “tailored-inspired blueprints” with a variety of trenches, chinos and dresses in a moody black and grey color palette.
The holiday line includes two new denim updates, the Motac-O, which features curved ribbing panels that follow the lines of the body, and taped denim based on the tape that supports ligaments after an injury. The taped jean is made with G-Star’s Cradle to Cradle gold certified fabric.
The women’s collection offers black velvet overalls, a western yoke shirt in drapey denim or silk, a coated black overalls skirt, a printed black denim pleated skirt and split knee skinny jeans. Red and black plaid corduroy bottoms, graphic tees and bomber jackets round-out the line.
G-Star’s men’s styles span light wash taped jeans and denim shirts with shadowing, to graphic chore jackets, traditional knit pull-overs and zip front cardigans.
Within the collection, the Dutch brand continued the collaboration with Rijks Studio, part of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. The Rijks Series clashes classic artwork with modern graphics. This season’s inspiration comes from the Coat of Arms of Frans Banninck Cocq, the former mayor of Amsterdam and center figure of Rembrandt’s “Nightwatch.”
