Garcia Jeans aims to streamline the studio process by cutting out the “middle man” with robots.
The Dutch fashion brand acquired StyleShoots’ new robotic studio technology designed to film and photograph models for brands without a camera crew.
Artificial intelligence and robotics take care of the technical duties like lighting and setting up shots, and allows for instant review of stills and video. Using the “smart studio,” Garcia Jeans can publish instantly edited video and lifestyle images for e-commerce, social media and other marketing and sales collateral.
Garcia Jeans is using the technology at it Amsterdam HQ to produce stills and videos featuring models wearing its collections.
“In all my years in the fashion industry, I have never seen any technology quite like this. This machine completely changes how we’re going to produce in-house content for web and social media,” said Marco du Pré, Garcia Jeans CEO.
