New Gas Creative Director Yossi Cohen Releases Capsule Collection

Join Sourcing Journal on March 13th HKT for Sourcing Summit Hong Kong for discussions on mending relationships between supply chain partners, remaking factories for smaller MOQs and faster turns, and creating resilience to survive the next inevitable crisis.

Italian denim brand Gas announced the hire of Yossi Cohen as the brand’s new creative director.

Cohen is a veteran international designer who has previously worked with Italian cashmere brand Ballantyne and Turkish luxury leather brand Desa.

As part of his debut, Cohen has also designed a capsule collection as a tribute to the brand and to denim. The men’s collection is characterized by large volumes, fluid lines, mixed and matched fabrics and layering effects. The collection focuses on the army parka, the field jacket, the peacoat and the macro-check jacket, which are all enhanced with denim detailing.

The women’s collection is based on the idea of boyish fabrics alongside feminine silks. It centers around lace mini dresses, maxi coats, knitted trousers and denim miniskirts.

A preview of the collection will be offered online beginning in September, before it is delivered to Gas stores.
