Guess and J Balvin Celebrate Summer Style with Second Collaboration

Guess and Colombian musician J Balvin are back with a new capsule collection—and this time, kids will have the chance to wear the famously colorful garments.

Inspired by the performer’s latest album, “Colores,” the Guess x J Balvin Colores collection smacks of summer fashion with brightly colored tie-dye, stripes, color blocking and a special print inspired by the singer’s South American roots. The collection spans a deep range of categories including denim, tees, swimwear and accessories such as socks, bags and boxer briefs.

The 29-piece women’s collection, which retails for $39-$108, offers denim pieces like a cropped denim jacket and cut-off denim shorts set. It also includes cropped sweatshirts and tops, bodysuits, joggers and tracksuit sets. The 50-piece men’s collection features vibrantly colored T-shirts, sweatshirts and matching sets, including multi-toned blue shorts and coordinating jacket with oversized utility pockets. The men’s line retails for $39-$128.

For children sizes 4-12, the collection offers 26 pieces inspired by items in the men’s and women’s lines.

Though the collaboration was originally set to drop in March, but was ultimately postponed due to COVID-19, June may be better timing as consumers seek out vacation-inspired fashion and rainbow palettes for Pride Month.

This isn’t the first time Guess and J Balvin have teamed up. In 2019, he worked with Guess on a collection inspired by ’90s Miami, which he said reflected the aesthetic of his then-most-recent album “Vibras.”

The Guess x J Balvin Colores collection will be available on June 18 on the Guess website and in Guess retail stores on June 19.
