Guess U.S.A., the premium division of Guess, is getting into the back-to-school spirit.
The label released its third “Archive Drop” Thursday offering a collection of unisex pieces inspired by collegiate and varsity sports designs from its archives.
The seven-piece capsule includes French terry crewnecks embellished with the brand’s “Campus Activities” embroidered heritage logo. Cotton T-shirts and French terry shorts also feature archive Guess U.S.A. Sportswear embroidery.
The new release smacks of the ’80s and ’90s with a classic autumnal color palette of dark red and golden yellow, while keying into the current demand for matching sportswear sets.
Guess U.S.A.’s Archive Drop program was established earlier this year as a high-quality monthly product offering for e-commerce, specialty stores and “bespoke popup moments.” A first for the brand, the limited drops pay homage to iconic themes and details unique to the Guess brand history while highlighting updated silhouettes, techniques, fabrications, and archival and reimagined graphics.

The first drop debuted on Earth Day in April with a T-shirt inspired by a 1991 “Save the Earth” design, with proceeds going to support marine conservation, followed by a second drop that tapped into classic Americana branding featuring Guess U.S.A.’s “Legendary Authentic Style” graphic from 1991.
The majority of Archive Drop products are constructed in Los Angeles.
The latest collection is available now exclusively on guessusa.com. Retail prices for the T-shirt and shorts start at $50 and $60 while the premium crewneck will be available for $120.
