How a Denim Couch Won Social Media

Craigslist might have a reputation for being a black hole of suspicious job opportunities and questionable roommates, but the online yard sale is also the place to nab a “Very Unique! Custom Made Denim/Jeans couch/sofa!”

The listing for the one-of-a-kind couch in Brooklyn has gone viral on social media and caught the attention of local newspaper AM New York, getting its own news story.

According to the ad, the Brooklyn-made couch is made with recycled jeans on an antique wood sofa frame. The seller describes the patchwork masterpiece as “great for a kids room, den, TV room, galleries, office entrance, restaurants” and calls it a “great conversation piece.”

Don’t have the $3,995 asking price, or the décor to match? Rest assured, the couch is also available for rent as a prop for photo shoots.
