Hudson Jeans parent company, Differential Brands Group, announced a new deal with Ontario-based commerce company Throat Threads Apparel, to relaunch the premium denim brand in the Canadian market.
“We look forward to partnering with Throat Threads Apparel for the Canadian market. They have a proven reputation of building premium brands in the best retailers across Canada,” said Michael Buckley, Differential Brands Group CEO.
The expansion comes at a time when Hudson Jeans is working to revitalize both its business and brand recognition among millennial and Gen Z consumers. Under new design direction from industry veteran Zihaad Wells, Hudson aims to inject a “rebellious energy” into the denim category. The company is also plotting an expansion into sportswear.
“We are very excited to be a part of the rebirth of Hudson Jeans,” said Candice MacNay, Throat Threads Apparel sales director. “They will continue to push boundaries with their product style and customers’ expectations. By combining our customer service infrastructure, replenishment programs and expertise with Hudson’s progressive product mix, Hudson Jeans will be a brand to watch for 2018.”
