Guess is staying on top of both technology and trends with their Spring ’16 line. The brand is continuing the roll-out of their tech-driven line Smart Guess, launched in 2015, as well as premiering styles that capitalize on the ’70s trend.
With the Spring ’16 collection, Guess launches the newest addition to the Smart Guess line, called Jeancare, which includes nutrient-rich, moisturizing denim pieces with chamomile and lavender and features a slimming effect. In addition to regular stretch jeans and jean shorts, the line includes a pleated dress with an exposed front zipper and a two-piece ensemble with a cropped top and pencil skirt.
The Smart Guess line will also feature new Sporty Chic legging styles and the return of their Yoga leggings. The Sporty Chic legging styles are high-waisted and feature Coolmax indigo denim for moisture-control and cooling properties. The brand is also introducing new colorways for their Yoga leggings, including seafoam green, faded orange and olive green.
The denim in the rest of the Spring collection focuses on softness, stretch and weightlessness, as well as design inspired by the ’70s. The line picks up on a lot of the denim trends popping up across Spring ’16 showrooms including frayed hems, cropped blouses and patchwork items. Standout pieces include a tunic jacket with bell sleeves and a braided belt, and culotte overalls with a sweetheart neckline.
On the men’s side, Guess is sticking with their classic chambray shirts, adding distressing and fading to update the staple. Fashion items, like men’s acid wash moto jeans, are peppered throughout the range.
