The New York City-based show that calls itself the “anti-trade show” lived up to its reputation, even with a venue in a plum location in SoHo.
BPD Expo (Dec. 7-8) took over a corner retail space (formerly an Eastern Mountain Sports), inviting industry insiders and denim enthusiasts to discover the latest from mills and trim companies for Spring/Summer 2018. Additionally, Denim Therapy, the New York-based denim alteration company, shared with attendees the top trends happening on the consumer level. Think wide cuts for women, white year-round and grommets and customization.
The show’s rebellious nature was reflected in its decor, which emanated a cozy, winter feel with fairy lights, denim tapestries and DIY stations.
