Intertextile Shanghai (March 16-18) is digging deeper into denim with Beyond Denim, a product zone dedicated to innovative denim yarns and stretch, embroidered, jacquard and knit denim fabrications for Spring/Summer 2017.
Kipas Denim Mills from Turkey, Malwa Industries from India, Orta Anadolu from Turkey, Prosperity Textile from China, W Denim from Turkey and China-based Yixing Lucky G&L Denim are among the 90 Beyond Denim exhibitors.
Intertextile Shanghai will host a panel discussion moderated by the Denim Innovation Alliance focused on ways the denim industry and garment manufacturers can work together to cope with market challenges. The discussion aims to offer “industry players an opportunity to exchange their insights on the future of the denim market.” Attendees will also have an opportunity to paint their own denim tote and aprons.
Beyond Denim, billed as a “show within a show” is one of the larger product zones at the upcoming event. Wendy Wen, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd senior general manager said, “While the wide range of product options at this fair as well as the concurrent events ensure the entire textile industry can source here, the product zones allow buyers to easily identify their target suppliers, and exhibitors to more effectively meet the right buyers.”
Other product zones include the Premium Wool Zone, Salon Europe, Verve for Design, Functional Lab and All About Sustainability.
