Invista is set to debut its newest innovations at the upcoming Kingpins trade show next month in New York, including the latest in Coolmax EcoMade.
With a focus on Spring 2018, Invista will showcase a variety of Coolmax branded concepts, including Coolmax EcoMade technology, which helps move moisture away from the skin, keeping the wearer cool, dry and comfortable.
Fibers with Coolmax EcoMade technology are made from 97 percent recycled resources, including plastic bottles which are diverted away from landfills and recycled, reducing their environmental impact on the planet. Through a six-step process, plastic is transformed into fiber that is suitable for apparel use.
“Research shows that increasingly consumers are looking for added benefits such as cool comfort in their jeans,” said Jean Hegedus, Invista global denim segment director. “Denim with Coolmax EcoMade technology provides both the performance benefits consumers are seeking and reduced environmental impact. So, for the consumer, it’s really a win-win proposition.”
In addition to Coolmax technologies, denim with Lycra branded innovations will also be featured in the Invista booth, including Lycra Beaty fiber designed to sculpt a woman’s curves while still allowing her to be comfortable.
Invista will be hosting a seminar on global consumer insights on jeans presented by Hegedus on Nov. 2.
