Invista Debuts New Denim Technologies at Beyond Denim

Rivet’s 2021 winter issue has dropped! This in-depth issue examines the steps the global denim industry is taking to minimize its impact on the environment, from implementing zero waste production and design processes to establishing greenhouse gas emissions goals aligned with the Paris Agreement.

Invista is set to debut its new Lycra Moves Denim Pavilion this fall at Shanghai’s Beyond Denim show Oct. 11-13, which will offer an interactive demonstration of Invista’s latest denim technologies.

The new technologies on display include Lycra DualFx, Lycra Beauty, Coolmax, and the latest in Thermolite IR technology. The pavilion is also set to feature a series of performance denim and clothing encompassing three themes of Urban Noir, Earth Expedition and Reform.

Invista is hosting a panel discussion titled “Adding Value to Denim: Why this is a win for consumers and retailers,” on Oct. 12 at the show’s new Textile Dialogue seminar area. Inside Fashion Editorial Director Jane Singer will moderate the panel, which will share insiders’ thoughts on various topics including the evolution of performance denim, the future of denim, stretch leading trends and consumer insights.

The Invista Pavilion aside, Beyond Denim, will feature over 170 denim suppliers. The show will also delve into the history of denim, offering attendees a look at the 200-year evolution of denim with the help of New York’s Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Taking a look at the wardrobe staple, the exhibition showcases denim’s progress from the 19th century until today, from uniforms to high fashion.
