Isko Opens Amsterdam Showroom

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

Denim manufacturer Isko opened a new showroom in Amsterdam on Thursday, with an accompanying party hosted with denim curator and specialists, Wouter Munnichs.

Nestled among headquarters of fashion’s classics, like Tommy Hilfiger and Pepe Jeans in Amsterdam, Isko jumped into Spring/Summer ’18 with the latest technology—augmented reality. Amsterdam showroom opening attendees interacted with the collection, which was made even more real by using 3-D models on provided tablet screens.

The event featured fabric artist Daphne Bleeker, as well as a sustainability discussion with Dailybags, a denim brand specializing in patchwork and handcrafted pieces, and Sashikodenim, which repairs jeans through the Japanese stitching technique of Sashiko.
