Antoni Porowski, the food and drink maverick from Netflix’s reality show “Queer Eye,” may impress with his culinary expertise, but his fashion sense is what caught the eye of premium denim label J Brand.
The Los Angeles-based denim company teamed with Porowski on a new 10-piece collection that best reflects his style—all anchored by his favorite J Brand skinny jeans.
The J Brand x Antoni collection features six pants—including a light wash, dark wash and black denim skinny jean, two pleated trousers and a leather pant—a leather trucker jacket, a bomber jacket and two graphic T-shirts.
All of the denim in the collection is sustainably made using J Brand’s eco wash process, which uses 90 percent less water versus conventional processes. Recycled thread and premium organic cotton are also used throughout the collection.
A longtime fan of the brand, Porowski points out that the items in the collection are reasonless and will age like fine wine.
“Leave it to me to launch a capsule collection with J Brand during a global pandemic where most of us have nowhere to be but home on the couch, but here we are,” he said in a statement. “Fortunately, these pieces—like my go-to skinny silhouette in three classic denim washes and my matching leather pant and jacket getup (naturally)—are as classic as mozzarella sticks and timeless enough to last beyond the days of social distancing and sourdough starters.”
Though J brand boasts a significant A-list following, it only occasionally works with celebrities on collections. In 2018, the label collaborated with Kim Kardashian West’s former assistant Stephanie Shepard on a denim capsule collection that sold out in just 19 hours.
A preview of the J Brand x Antoni collection was exclusively made available on the Bloomingdale’s website at the end of September, followed by a global launch this week. Price points range from $128 for a T-shirt to $1,128 for the leather trucker.
