J Brand Launches Capsule Collection with Bella Freud

J Brand teams up with London-based designer Bella Freud for a 25-piece fall capsule collection.

The collaboration is one of many for the denim brand, putting Freud in the company of Proenza Schouler, Simone Rocha and Christopher Kane for the denim brand’s list of designer collaborations.

The extensive collection merges the aesthetic of J Brand and Freud, spanning black and dark indigo jeans, to a jumpsuit and a number of statement ‘word’ sweaters in cashmere and merino wool.

The line dishes out denim in a low-rise relaxed straight leg silhouette and a high-waisted tailored wide-leg style, conveying Freud’s favorite ’70s denim fits for jeans. A light wash jumpsuit continues to the retro theme. The collection also offers a cool, edgy black denim jacket with hardware detailing on the arms.

“A girl in a cool pair of jeans is like Botticelli’s ‘Venus’ – as though she has invented this look for the first time, you never get tired of watching her,” said Freud. “I am excited to be collaborating with the kings of denim, J Brand to create some sexy and desirable looks for AW17.”

The collection hits stores and online starting July 25, selling for $108 to $478.
