Sequential Brands Group has signed a long-term licensing agreement with Showroom35 to design and manufacture handbags and small leather goods for Joe’s Jeans

A full collection of handcrafted leather handbags and small leather goods for women will launch in Fall 2016 at better department stores, Joe’s retail stores and online. The collection is positioned to retail for $138-$288.
The Joe’s Jeans brand was acquired by Sequential in September 2015 for $67 million. The brand’s founder Joe Dahan joined the company as creative director. In October at Cowen and Company’s Men-at-Work Summit in New York City, Sequential Brands Group CEO Yehuda Schmidman said plans were in the works to grow Joe’s Jeans two to three times globally with fresh product.

In a release, Jameel Spencer, Sequential Brands Group division president of fashion and entertainment, said it “is an exciting time for Joe’s Jeans as we begin to tell the brand’s lifestyle story through new product extensions and activate our growth platform for 2016 and beyond.”

Dahan commented, “Adding another dimension to the brand experience has been something that our customers have come to expect and for the first time we are able to create a comprehensive collection to allow them to explore the Joe’s lifestyle.”

Terry McCormick, Showroom35 president, added, “We are thrilled to be expanding our partnership with Sequential and working closely with Joe Dahan to help bring his vision of a full-scale lifestyle collection for the Joe’s Jeans consumer to life.”
