Jos. A. Bank Launches 1905 Label of Modern Classics

Jos. A. Bank is celebrating 110 years in business in new style. The heritage company is launching a clothing collection under the label 1905——a nod to the year the brand was founded——designed by Chief Creative Director Joseph Abboud. The result is a collection that’s inspired by the heritage of American style with vintage details and modern fits.

The 1905 label, available now in stores and online, is targeted toward consumers interested in classic menswear. “Fads come and go, but what truly stands the test of time are classic looks that feel timeless in any era,” Abboud said in a press release.

The line features tailored staples and modern sportswear made with herringbones, tweeds and plaids for textural and visual interest, as well as oxford button down shirts and argyle and cable knit sweaters. Retail prices start at $79.50 for oxfords; suiting begins at $695.

“Quality fabrics, expert tailoring and an attention to detail will always be the hallmark of everything we make,” said Doug Ewert, Jos. A. Bank CEO. “We’re pleased to introduce 1905 to our Jos. A. Bank customers and know they will look and feel great wearing the new collection.”

Following the introduction of the Joseph Abboud brand, 1905 is the second new label to be added to Jos. A. Bank stores since the acquisition by The Men’s Wearhouse, Inc. in 2014.
